Fees and calculations
The cost of arbitration is calculated by applying the Fee Rules for the Calculation of Arbitration Costs to be found in Appendix II of the Arbitration Rules of CAM (art. 38(1)).
In accordance to this, the General Secretariat fixes the amount of the deposit to cover the arbitration expenses using the Fee Rules for the Calculation of Arbitration Cost to be found in the Appendix II of the Arbitration Rules of CAM (art. 38(1)). If the amount of the dispute cannot be determined, the Secretary General will fix the amount due to his discretion.
The deposit amount fixed by the Secretary General can be adjusted in case the disputed amount or the estimated costs for the expenses of the Arbitral Tribunal change or due to the complexity of the case, according to Art. 38(2) of the Arbitration Rules CAM.
